Editor-in-chief: Oversees all JMURJ activities including the formation of the website, the pursuit of funding, and the design and content of the Spring print edition of the Journal.
Writing Department
Managing Editor: Oversees the publication process as head of the Writing Department, ensuring that review editors, photographers and contributing writers submit the best version of their original research for printing in the Spring edition.
Review Editors: Collaborate with researchers to create a concise, interesting and informative depiction of their research reports for publication in the Spring.
Feature Writer: Actively reports on upcoming research-related events, awards and progressive break-throughs on campus. Some feature stories are published on the website, while a select few will accentuate the print edition.
Marketing Department
Marketing Director: Promotes the Journal to the JMU population at large. Oversees the advertising representatives and event coordinator in seeking funding through sponsorship, fundraisers and advertising space on the website and in the print edition.
Advertising Representatives: The face of JMURJ. Ad reps actively promote Journal awareness on campus and in the local community, while raising money to fund the Spring print edition.
Event Coordinator: Sets meeting times, organizes fundraisers, and acts as de facto treasurer.
Visual Department
Visual Director: Oversees the construction of the website in the Fall semester, and ensures the quality and aesthetic nature of the Spring print edition through intensive contact with the photographers, graphic designers and webmaster.
Photographers: Compile staff and researcher photos, graphs and images for research and advertisements, and photographs for the website and print edition.
Graphic Designers: Create the layout for the website, and design advertisements in the Fall semester. In the Spring, they design the entire print edition, including the cover and layouts for each report in the following semester.
Webmaster: Codes and formats the website, keeping it up-to-date throughout the year.
